The reason the tee times got moved up on Sunday was the threat of thunderstorms. No one wants to be out on a golf course during a Florida thunder and lightning storm. That had more to do with attendance than any of the fake political reasons.

Sunday was the best attended day, which the story states. Before the weekend the place was dead.

Have you ever lived in Miami? I have .

Time of year not suited for it? The F1 races drew 275,000 for the three days. What did the time of year have to do with it? The players didn’t complain. Its Miami. It has a tropical climate all year.

The FI race is literally part of the problem. Abd it’s not a filled with snow birds who like to watch golf as it is in March. The proof is in the numbers.

So what’s your point?

The story states the point pretty clearly. It was a mistake to rush back into it at a time of year not suited for it.

Agree that tournament was sparse with fans Friday but more fans turned out Saturday than Sunday probably due to weather issues & early tee times. BTW - Trump Doral is one of the best championship golf courses in the world! Just saying!

Yikes. Doral sucks, this event watched like ‘resort golf’ and got worse when Cam Young demonstrated an utter disconnect from the outside world. Golfers think they’re insulated, but really it’s cluelessness.
